How do I check a Virginia preschool's license and inspections?
Virginia licenses child day centers through the Department of Social Services, and some faith-based programs operate as religiously exempt centers. Search the program by name in the Virginia DSS child care search to see its license type, capacity, age range and recent inspection reports. Then tour in person and ask about staff ratios, training, schedules, meals and waitlists. Openings and tuition change often, so I don't list them here.
